SWEATERS – It was a while and probably everyone started sweating. Not because under the weight of the barbells or perhaps for running on the treadmill. Cold sweat, the one that began to pour on his forehead, when the smell of trouble in the form of carabinieri was felt in the air.

It ended as expected, with five days of closure and fines for everyone, the owner of the gym and four partners found inside at the time of the check. The reason is soon said: it would have been allowed to access that room, to train, even without being provided with a green pass. If, for ideological reasons, delay in getting vaccinated or other reasons, it matters little here. The fact is that the provisions are clear on access to certain places.

The closure was imposed, in this case, at the Calisthenicsalento gym in Maglie, in via Otranto, during one of the targeted checks that the carabinieri of the local station, employees of the company, carried out between 7 and 8 September in the city, going to verify compliance with the regulations to combat the contagion from Covid-19.

In all, four places were checked, including gyms and sports centers, and only in the case of Via Otranto were evident shortcomings found. The members, in fact, would have been allowed access without the green card that certifies the vaccination and, in addition, the owner of the business would have been without personal protective equipment. Which is why, in addition to the administrative provision of the lockout, records were high for all.
