The ongoing debate about medical care centers (MVZ) is further fueled by unfounded allegations. In order to promote an evidence-based health policy decision-making process that strives for patient-centered and quality-oriented regulation, the Association of Accredited Laboratories in Medicine (ALM eV) and the Federal Association of Operators of Medical Care Centers (BBMV eV) have appointed Prof. Dr. Frank-Ulrich Fricke, Professor of Health Economics at the Nuremberg University of Technology, was commissioned to prepare a study.
With the study “Evidence helps: Does the takeover by private, non-medical investors influence the billing behavior of MVZs?” it is shown that compliance with the applicable regulatory framework can be checked by the self-government and a data-based basis can be created for possible further legal projects.
The ALM and BBMV eV invite you to a joint press conference to present the study, which has not yet been published. In addition to the author of the study, Prof. Dr. Frank-Ulrich Fricke, Sibylle S Tauch-Eckmann, chairwoman of the BBMV eV, and Dr. Michael Müller, 1st Chairman of ALM eV, is available to answer your questions. The press conference will be moderated by Dr. Robert Paquet, science journalist and author at Observer Health.
