Is grain flour acceptable?Pixel Watch rumored to use 2018 processor

Google recently held the Google I/O developer annual meeting, and the official announcement will be followed by the launch of its first smart watch, the Pixel Watch, in the fall, but now there is news that the processor used by the Pixel Watch seems to be four years ago, and the same The Exynos 9110 chip that debuted with the original Galaxy Watch.

The foreign media “9to5google” quoted sources as saying that the processor of the Google Pixel Watch will use Samsung’s Exynos 9110, which was launched in August 2018.

This news may disappoint many people. After all, at the end of last year, it was reported that the Pixel Watch is likely to use the same Exynos W920 chip as the Samsung Galaxy Watch4; the Exynos W920 uses a 5nm process and uses the ARM Cortex-A55 architecture. . The Exynos 9110, introduced four years ago, uses an outdated 10nm process and is based on the Cortex-A53 architecture.

Why did Google choose to use the processor from four years ago in the new watch at this time? “9to5google” pointed out that because the Pixel Watch development project has been around for a while. The early development stage of the Pixel Watch was actually when the Exynos 9110 was launched, and the Pixel Watch was developed based on Android 9 Pie before switching to Android 11.

By now, the Pixel Watch may have missed the development stage of replacing the chip, so that the new model uses an outdated chip, and there is no indication that Google will replace the Pixel Watch with a new chip.

Of course, you shouldn’t be too disappointed. After all, whether the chip is old or not does not mean everything. Looking at the Tensor processor used in the Pixel 6 series launched by Google last year, the process used is also outdated compared with Qualcomm products. Chip, but the biggest focus is on how Google can improve the compatibility of hardware and software, after all, older chips may mean poor battery life.
