The hospitalization rate among over 80 not vaccinated, for the past 30 days, it has been 8 times higher of vaccinated eighties, that of hospitalizations in intensive care has been ten times higher and that of deaths it splashed up to 13 times. In other words: every 100 thousand over 80 unvaccinated and as many vaccinated, in September they ended up in hospital diagnosed with Sars-Cov-2 222.5 unvaccinated and 26.8 with full cycle, 13,6 without protection ended up in intensive care while only 1.3 of those who joined the campaign died in 129,5 among those who are ‘discovered’ and 9.8 among those who received both doses of the anti-Covid vaccine. The monitoring dell’Iss essentially highlights how among the unvaccinated there are much higher probabilities of developing serious symptoms and not exceeding the infection than among those who answered ‘yes’ to the vaccination campaign. In this segment of the population, where coverage is beyond 90%, recalls the Institute, theparadox effect if we consider the absolute numbers. That is: hospitalizations, intensive care admissions and deaths are more among those who have received the vaccine, but compared to the number of people who belong to the two groups, the risk is much lower for those who have protected themselves.
About 80 people ended up in hospital after contracting the virus 1.700: 589 were unvaccinated, 1,127 had completed the cycle, 49 had received only one dose. 36 unvaccinated, 55 ‘covered’ and 1 person with an incomplete cycle entered the intensive care unit, while as regards the deaths there were 343 among the unvaccinated and 413 among the protected. Basically, 33.4% of hospitalizations, 39% of ICU admissions and 44.3% of deaths in the over 80s occurred among those who did not receive any dose of the vaccine. That is between 229,844 people, against the 4.2 million which instead are ‘covered’.
In other segments of the population, with high roofs but in any case less than 80%, the paradox effect ei does not occur risks for the unvaccinated they are also evident in the absolute numbers. In all segments, the numbers of unvaccinated are significantly higher than those who received two doses. In age group 12-39 years there have been 30,097 diagnoses among the unvaccinated, 8.696 between those who have received two doses e 4.044 among those vaccinated with an incomplete cycle. Hospitalizations in the same range concerned 1,162 unvaccinated, 63 people with incomplete cycles and 89 people totally vaccinated. In 52 ‘no-vax’ ended up in intensive care, while only 1 infected with an incomplete cycle ended up in resuscitation and just 2 infected among those vaccinated with two doses. As for the deaths they have occurred 16 among the unvaccinated (84.2% of the total among 12-39 year olds), only 2 people died among the vaccinated and 1 among those who received only one dose.
As for the range 40-59 years there are 18,899 diagnoses among the unvaccinated, of these 1.938 were hospitalized, 234 ended up in intensive care and 127 died. Among the vaccinated, however, 13,201 cases of infection were ascertained, 258 hospitalizations with symptoms, 20 admissions to intensive care and only 12 deaths. In age range 60-79 years, among those at greatest risk of developing a serious disease, were 6.396 cases of infection among the unvaccinated (37.6%) e 10.032 (59%) among those who received two doses. Despite the highest number of cases in absolute terms among the vaccinated, there have been 1,535 hospitalizations among unvaccinated (63.6%) e 794 in the population protected with two doses. Numbers that clarify how the vaccine protects against the risk of developing symptoms in case of infection. As well as the hospitalizations in intensive care and deaths in this range: 282 and 402 among the unvaccinated, 96 and 153 among the vaccinated.
