“It’s not necessarily better.” Viola’s doubts about the updated vaccine

Speaking in last Tuesday’s episode of In Ondaconducted on La7 by Concita De Gregorio and David Parenzo, virostar Antonella Viola followed the long wave of summer terror, urging the most rebellious to have the fourth dose, or second booster as it defined it, inoculated, without waiting for the arrival of an updated vaccine. These are the astonishing words of her: “There was almost an excessive expectation on the new vaccine and that caused a serious delay, because even people over eighty years old did not go to get vaccinated. Because? Because there has been a lot of talk in the newspapers, on television about this new specific vaccine that will arrive in September and October against Omicron. In reality this vaccine is not necessarily better than the one we have today, because a comparative study has not been done. And what we have today we know that it works. We know that the fourth dose for people over sixty protects against infection and severe disease. So it is useless to wait for something that perhaps will arrive and perhaps will not arrive: it is better to get vaccinated immediately. “

Now, for those who have just explored the thorny issue of vaccines (not of the “vaccine“, as Viola argues, leading the audience to believe that there are no alternatives to the two most expensive that Italy has decided to adopt and which are based on a discussed methodology typical of gene therapies) can only be scandalized by the wholesale exposure expressed by the immunologist from Taranto.

First, the two vaccines prepared for the fourth dose and the others in the making, namely Pfizer and Moderna, according to many recent studies they are largely obsolete. Studies cited by Professor Mariano Bizzarri in his book Covid-19, an epidemic to be decoded, and from which he draws some important conclusions, starting from the basic principle with which the innovative mRNA vaccines were made: “The time has come to frankly re-discuss the usefulness of vaccines constructed with mRNA. It is now clear that the emergence of new variants, feared for some time, ends – sooner or later – by making obsolete any vaccine based on mRNA technology. The conveyed gene information allows human cells to synthesize large quantities of the target protein (the Spike), which subsequently recognize it as “foreign” and thus promote the immune response. However, if the protein changes, as occurs as a result of the mutations that the virus undergoes, the antibody produced no longer recognizes the target and the virus evades the immunological control with great ease. “

From here we can deduce the reason, which Professor Viola seems to completely ignore, for which we are witnessing a sort of vaccine return epidemic, given that over 90% of the population has undergone three doses of the same vaccines, although the same is convinced that the fourth dose, identical to the others, succeeds where the latter are blatantly failing, or protect against infection. But this is not enough, it is not clear why vaccines for influenza viruses – RNA viruses such as Sars-Cov-2 – must necessarily be updated every year, while for Coronavirus, despite the infinite sequence of mutations to which it has been object, those prepared for its very first version, now almost three years old, should still be effective.

Finally, Viola’s statement about the uncertain effectiveness of updated vaccines seems rather suspicious, thus confirming the conspiracy theses of the so-called no-vax, according to which the same vaccines would be using citizens as guinea pigs for a colossal experimentation of mass. But perhaps behind the dogma of a vaccine, alias long life elixir, good for all seasons, there could be a hidden reason that has very little to do with science. Since our healthcare system has purchased a few hundred million doses, many of which are expiring, it is possible that the tacit agreement has been passed to the top of the same health system to have the stones vaccinated too through the saying “a vaccine is forever”. As a famous bau bau of the politics of the past said, “thinking badly makes you sin, but often you get it right.”
