While Nintendo Switch and Xbox players are still waiting for their chance to dive into Jelly Bean: Ultimate Knockout, PlayStation and PC players finally have a chance to jump into the game together, thanks to the long-awaited release of cross-play support .
Through a Mediatonic blog post, the feature was introduced during the game’s Season 6 mid-update, allowing people on PS4, PS5, and PC to enter the Blunderdome together, with the only limitation that you now need to have an Epic Games account connected to where you are to do this on any platform.
It should be noted that Mediatonic has confirmed that the Xbox and Switch versions of Jelly Bean: Ultimate Knockout will still be out, but haven’t had any additional news to share yet.
The mid-season patch also brought some other goodies, including the official announcement of a new gameplay called “Sweet Thieves,” which split players into two teams (thieves and guardians) to steal or protect candy, which seems to have is a new stealth game mode, and as Mediatonic mentioned, the new walking mechanics are important here. We can expect more information and a release date for this game mode.
