King Charles III Admitted to London Clinic for Prostate Surgery
Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles III has been admitted to the London Clinic to undergo prostate surgery. The private hospital in the British capital is the same one where Princess Kate is currently recovering from abdominal surgery. The sovereign arrived at the clinic in a car accompanied by Queen Camilla.
While the palace statement only referred to a generic hospital in London, the British media have confirmed that King Charles III is in the same private clinic as Princess Kate. The statement from the palace expressed the King’s gratitude for the well-wishes he has received and noted that his diagnosis is raising public health awareness.
The scheduled procedure concerns a benign prostate condition, and according to the BBC, King Charles III visited Princess Kate in her hospital room before preparing for his own operation. It is not yet known how long the King will remain at the London Clinic.
The public and royal supporters alike are sending their best wishes to King Charles III for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
