Change the admission test to the Faculty of Medicine, already starting this fall. The test, which will be held on 6 September, will always contain 60 questions but in the distribution of the weights there will be more space and attention to disciplinary subjects and less to logic and general culture. It was wanted by the minister of the University Cristina Messa who yesterday signed the provision that reshapes the test. The new breakdown of the test to select 15,000 freshmen provides that 15 percent of the test is made up of quizzes of logical reasoning, numerical reasoning and humanities. The rest of the questions will relate to disciplinary subjects (biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics). In detail, the test, for which students have one hundred minutes of time, will contain 4 questions of reading skills and knowledge acquired in their studies; 5 questions of logical reasoning and problems; 23 biology questions; 15 of chemistry; 13 of physics and mathematics.
For the Veterinary test, scheduled for 8 September, the division is as follows: 4 questions of reading skills and knowledge acquired in studies; 5 questions of logical reasoning and problems; 19 questions in biology and as many in chemistry; 13 questions of physics and mathematics. The maximum score will be 90 points. The test, thus modified, will be used only next September: from 2023 the admission procedure to limited number courses will change completely and will include a real path that begins in the fourth year of high school, with orientation courses, and tests Tolc online exam, Cisia online test, which can be repeated.
A reform which the ministry is working on and which could also make it possible to overcome the difficulties of recent years which have seen the medicine test subject to errors in the applications and appeals, often group, which have lengthened the time of selection and forced to expand the number of admissions. The last case a few days ago: two other wrong questions were recognized in the 2021 test, after those already canceled last fall. This will lead to the admission of at least two hundred students who had appealed.
