The period is a female characteristic that for many women is a real suffering. When that ‘time of the month’ arrives, for many women the menstrual cycle turns into a real nightmare. Furthermore, the topic of “menstruation” has recently been cleared of customs and removed from the circle of taboo topics, although for some it is still not entirely the case.
The menstrual cycle, however, presents in most cases the common symptoms in women which can be varied. From simple cramps to more serious stomach aches, migraine attacks, then through to asthenia, dysmenorrhea and other widespread symptoms. For a few years then we have been talking about PMS, that is, the premenstrual syndrome, a very widespread disorder in women in the days preceding the cycle. PMS also occurs frequently with symptoms related to the humoral and psychological spheres, which generally vanish with the arrival of the period.
Regarding the female body and pathologies there is really a lot to talk about, for example this tumor is the most diagnosed in Italy in 2020. The whole world linked to menstruation and the female reproductive system seems to be a field yet to be known, especially for women themselves.

We are talking about endometriosis, a disease that affects many women and accompanies them from the first menstruation to the menopause. A painful period is a very common condition, but having endometriosis is disabling. Instead, many women suffer from this serious pathology but do not know it.
Endometriosis can also occur in an asymptomatic form, but in most cases it is not. The pains are often attributable to the cycle, but those derived from the pathology are much more acute. In fact, endometriosis is a real inflammation that affects the endometrium, a mucous membrane present in the uterine cavity. In the case of endometriosis, the mucosa is found not only inside the cavity, but also outside.
The main alarm bell is pain, which often does not go away even with pain medication. The diagnosis of endometriosis takes place very slowly and unfortunately not without repercussions on women affected by this pathology. There are at least 3 million women who have endometriosis and the peak occurs between 25 and 30 years of age, as well as the most fertile period of a woman’s life. However, it is possible that the disease also develops at a younger age, with the appearance of the first menarche.
The pain that occurs with this pathology is, as mentioned before, really disabling in most cases and it becomes difficult to lead a normal life. It is no coincidence that there is really a lot to talk about about the world that revolves around women with endometriosis.
