Meta company letter reveals that Messenger will merge with Facebook again

Facebook tested the social platform to add instant messaging in 2008, and in August 2011 launched the Messenger program for Android and iOS. By 2014, the Messenger function integrated with the Facebook program was removed, and users had to install the Messenger program separately to use it.

The foreign media The Verge recently obtained a notice from Meta. Tom Alison, who is in charge of Facebook, said in April that Messenger will be reintegrated back into the Facebook program, so that users do not need to install Facebook and Messenger to use the social platform and instant messaging. I don’t know how Meta handles the messenger program at the moment.

According to the analysis, TikTok, which has become popular in the European and American markets in recent years, poses a threat to Facebook, and TikTok has a communication function. Meta now hopes to attract more young people to use the short video Reels and reintegrate the instant messaging function back to the Facebook program.
