If you remember, last week we just reported on Monster Hunter Rising’s first day of release on Steam, with more than 90,000 players on Valve’s platform alone. This action RPG is truly beloved, and its popularity is evident just by looking at its sales.
Through a media press release, Capcom has confirmed that global shipments of Monster Hunter Rise, combined with the PC and Steam versions, have exceeded 8 million units. It is also mentioned that as of September 30, 2021, the cumulative sales of the entire “Monster Hunter” series has exceeded 78 million sets.
As for what’s next, the Japanese company hopes to release a massive expansion titled “Breaking Dawn” for Monster Hunter Rising in the summer of 2022.
“Capcom remains firmly committed to meeting the expectations of all users by leveraging its industry-leading game development capabilities,” the developer concluded with a pledge.
