Monte Compatri murder, one arrested: a 24 year old turns himself in

He showed up late on Sunday evening at the police station accompanied by two lawyers. It is the first turning point in the investigation into the murder of Alexandru Ivan, the fourteen-year-old Romanian killed with two gunshots on Friday night in the parking lot of metro C in via Casilina, in Pantano. A 24-year-old boy, with a criminal record, Corum Petrow, was arrested by the military forces coordinated by the Velletri Prosecutor’s Office: it was he who pulled the trigger on the minor’s family members who had gathered in front of the terminus of the subway waiting for a clarifying meeting with the person who three hours earlier had beaten the victim’s stepfather in a bar also on via Casilina. The arrested person was taken to the Velletri prison at the disposal of the magistrates and awaiting the hearing to validate the arrest.

Another wanted man

However, another boy who was with him in the car, together with two other people, with whom Alex’s stepfather allegedly argued in the “Esse Café” bar for reasons yet to be clarified, is still being sought. After the attack suffered right in front of the fourteen-year-old and his grandfather, Tiberiu Maciuca had numerous contacts with the arrested twenty-four-year-old with whom he organized the appointment at the terminus to clarify what had happened in the club with the other young man.

But at three in the morning it ended tragically: the young man who turned himself in shot at the minor’s stepfather, however hitting Alex himself who died shortly after. The search is now underway for the young man involved in the fight at the bar and also for any accomplices of the arrested man.
