She came down suddenly, at 9.20pm. And after the collapse of the first building, another followed in a nearby building while debris invaded the courtyard of a third building. A night of terror in Secondigliano, in the Berlingieri district.
Maybe the alarm had already gone off because when the two-storey building in via Paolo Giovio 22 crumbled everyone had already moved away so much so that, at the moment, no injuries have been reported.
Immediately afterwards the general alarm went off, in time to prevent the second collapse, that of an internal wall bordering the nearby building with access from via Monte Faitocaused harm to people.
No one was injured, but moments of understandable terror. The Local Police, the Fire Brigade and the Municipal Civil Protection immediately intervened on site. The immediate eviction of 9 apartments was ordered.
The collapsed building is located in a side street, one of the typical white buildings, peeling plaster, solid iron bars on the windows of each floor. A little further on, a shop, Salumeria Zaccaro, which does not appear to have been affected by the collapses. The building is practically attached to the building in via Monte Faito, apparently kept in better conditions. The area is on the border with Capodichino airport.

Subsequently it was decided to vacate two other apartments that overlook a courtyard that was invaded by debris.
Inspections of the properties and operations for the eviction of families are underway who have found independent accommodation with the exception of two families in which there are two minors in one and two bedridden people over ninety in the other whose accommodation the social services are taking care of.
The councilors Antonio De Iesu and Luca Trapanese are following the work of the services in constant contact with Mayor Manfredi.
