NEOWIZ announced today (27) that it has signed a contract with Cosmo Gatto, an independent Canadian R&D team, to launch the healing casual adventure game “Aka” under development.
NEOWIZ said that “Aka” is a healing adventure game in an open world. It tells the story of a retired soldier’s little civet cat, after encountering a war-victimized soul, to review and heal himself. Players can collect and craft in the game, such as growing flowers, vegetables, or making shelters, tools, clothes or various props. When solving tasks, players can collect, search, and obtain various materials.
According to NEOWIZ, players will be able to manage the island and gain a healing experience through mini-games such as making sleds, escaping mazes, and activities such as swimming, observing clouds, and exploring. Interacting with NPCs and solving tasks provides another kind of fun. There is no linear game experience in “Aka”. Players can freely choose when and how to help NPCs. Only in this way can players explore every corner of the island and learn about the past. , maybe… also to achieve inner peace.
There are many NPCs in the game, and different characters will enrich the island life: villagers willing to help, trapped animals, huge monsters, or ghosts who need your help to get free. The official pointed out that the game combines developers from film production companies to design cute characters and vivid actions, which will improve the immersion of the game.
Aka is scheduled to come out on PC Steam and Switch in 2022.
