DAK-Gesundheit offers children a new online offering to promote relaxation and better sleep. The Aumio app is free for DAK insured persons and supports children aged six to twelve with meditative stories and mindfulness exercises to relax after stress and excitement and to fall asleep more easily in the evening.
More than a third (36 percent) of all school children in Germany have sleep problems at least once a week. This is the result of the current DAK prevention radar. Sleep problems are particularly common in families with low social status: Here, half of the girls and boys say they sleep poorly.
With the Aumio app, DAK policyholders have free access to more than 400 listening experiences in the form of meditations, dream sounds as well as relaxation and sleep stories. New content is added weekly. The children travel through the world of Aumio as little astronauts. You learn how to calm down after stressful situations. The short sleep stories and meditations are intended to help children fall asleep more relaxed. They also receive tips on dealing with impatience, fear, sadness and anger.
The Aumio app, certified by the Central Prevention Testing Center, is based on scientifically based methods, is ad-free, relies on a low screen time, does not collect any data and can be used offline. It is available for download from the Apple Store or the Google Play Store. To use Aumio, registration in the app is required. All you need is the child’s insurance number. By using the Aumio app, insured children can also win ten bonus points with the DAK AktivBonus Junior.
With 5.5 million insured people, DAK-Gesundheit is the third largest health insurance company in Germany and is particularly committed to child and youth health.
