New sighting for the Lancia Ypsilon: here it is during the launch commercial

by admin

The debut of the new Lancia Ypsilon is approaching and a new photo of the city car appears. This time, the next model of the Turin brand was surprised in Milan, during the filming of the commercial which will be broadcast in conjunction with the official presentation. The image shows the rear of the Ypsilon and highlights how its lines are strongly inspired by a historic Lancia model: the Stratos, the rally legend designed by Marcello Gandini in the early 70s of the last century.

The rear. As has already emerged from other stolen shots, teasers released by Lancia itself or various sightings, the two round headlights stand out at the rear: the Ypsilon-shaped graphics are evident inside them. Furthermore, they are connected by a plastic molding that forms a sort of small “shelf” under the rear window. Among the other elements, the large Lancia lettering, the small spoiler above the rear window itself and the particular shape of the bumper at the base of the tailgate also stand out.

Limited edition. The new Ypsilon will be launched in February with the limited Cassina edition: it will be available in 1906 numbered and certified units to pay homage to the year Lancia was founded and will be exclusively electric to celebrate the first step in the electrification process of the Turin brand. The Ypsilon will also be the first of three models of what the company and CEO Luca Napolitano have described as the “renaissance” of a historic name in Italian motoring: the other two new products will be the Gamma flagship and the sports sedan Delta.
