This part is the oldest part of osteopathy – the basis from which the healing method has developed to its current state.
Various treatment techniques are used to resolve and treat dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system. One of these techniques is the muscle energy technique (MET). With it, blocked or misaligned joints are rhythmically mobilized with the help of the patient’s muscle strength (muscle energy) and returned to their physiological position.
But other techniques such as counterstrain, myofascial loosening, facilitated positional release or still techniques are also used in parietal osteopathy to bring the body into balance.
The areas of application of parietal osteopathy include pain in the musculoskeletal system, restricted mobility of the spine, neck tension, pain in the lumbar spine, shoulder-arm syndrome, postural problems of the hips and spine, joint pain and follow-up treatment of fractures or accidents.
The aim of parietal osteopathy is to improve or eliminate articular, muscular and myofascial dysfunctions, which often occur in chains in the body.
