Originally from Panama, Rosy Crumpton is a Psychologist, Professional Counselor, author of two books and “proud” to be a representative of her country abroad. Born in Colón, Panama, to a great-grandmother who was Greek, Rosy laments that the language has been lost through the generations. However, when founding her health and wellness company, she decided to choose a Greek name, “Sophrosyne Wellness”, which means ‘having a healthy state of mind and deep knowledge of oneself’ and which also includes her name, Rossany.

Rosy graduated in Psychology from Wingate University, North Carolina, and also obtained Certification from Duke University that accredits her as a comprehensive Health and Wellness Coach, with specialties in stress management, attention development, professional well-being, personal development, healthy nutrition habits, healthy movement, spiritual well-being, and physical environment, serving people bilingually.

She shares her professional experience through small groups or personal attention, stating that “some have improved their diabetes or blood pressure, others have lost weight or reduced their stress. I have seen enormous changes in their lives, but to achieve this, they must have the firm purpose of change.”

In the publication of her book “Everything I Called”, Rosy tells the story of her life: growing up in another country, with her mother and stepfather, the difficulties of not speaking the language, intertwining Panamanian culture with that of a different country, as well as various family situations. Her novel won a 5-star award and is sold in English and Spanish. Her most recent book is titled “Healthy Me” published in 2023.

Rosy’s work with the Latino community began by teaching English at a church near her home. She has worked as a volunteer in several organizations, teaching workshops in English and Spanish. Rosy supports the entity “Circle de Luz” by giving talks as a mentor in schools, from Middle to High School, teaching them healthy nutrition habits and behaviors to avoid chronic diseases or how to protect their cell phones. Her priority is for young women to obtain scholarships to continue their university studies.

She declares herself “proudly Panamanian” and does not hesitate to show off the beautiful typical costume of her country whenever the occasion arises, to demonstrate the richness of her culture. Rosy enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, with her husband Brandon and her cat ‘Arya’. She loves having a “full house” and, of course, reading and writing.

“Talk to me or write to me, we offer you to prevent or manage chronic diseases and I offer you free 15-minute consultations,” said Rosy.
