Recall of food products due to risk of presence of carcinogenic allergens and glass – QuiFinanza

The Ministry of Health has issued a recall for two products due to health risks associated with consumption. The first product under recall is a minestrone soup branded “Minestrone Classico 850g” produced by La Valle degli Orti. The concern stems from the possible presence of glass in the soup, posing a risk to consumers. The affected lot number is L 4043F10, with an expiration date of August 2025. Consumers are urged not to consume the product and to return it to the point of sale for a refund.

The second product being recalled is a brand of Asian chips called “Lala fish crackers classics” 24x100g, produced by Gem Food in the Philippines. The recall is due to the presence of the allergen E110, a banned dye in Europe known to cause asthma, vomiting, and other adverse reactions, especially in children. All batches and expiry dates of the product have been deemed unsafe for consumption and are to be removed from the market immediately.

The Ministry of Health has advised against consuming both the minestrone soup and the Asian chips, emphasizing the importance of ensuring consumer safety. Retailers are instructed to cease selling the products and to take necessary steps to prevent further distribution. The recall procedure has also been activated at the European level to address the issue promptly and effectively.
