Almost 2.3 million euros from the PNRR for redevelopment and seismic adaptation interventions in three gyms under the province of the province. The resources come from the positive response to as many proposals submitted (by the deadline of 28 February last) by the offices of the Corso Garibaldi body to a public notice that, in the context of the PNRR (Mission 4 – Education and Research), allowed to finance project proposals “relating to the construction, safety and renovation of gyms or outdoor sports areas with reference to public buildings used for school use in the first and second cycle of education”.
Taking into account the indications contained in the announcement, the technicians of the Province had identified the gymnasium of the branch office in Borgonovo Val Tidone of the Volta School of Castel San Giovanni, the gymnasium of the Agricultural Institute (formerly Tramello) of Piacenza and the gymnasium located at the interior of the former Fire Brigade barracks in Viale Dante in Piacenza. Architectural and functional redevelopment and safety of the gyms, also through the plant and technological adaptation of the spaces, will bring together the interventions made possible by the success of the candidacies presented by the Province. The amounts financed through PNRR will be 850 thousand euros for the 1,400 square meters of surface (field + changing rooms) of the gymnasium of the Borgonovo Val Tidone branch of the Volta di Castel San Giovanni school complex, of 850 thousand euros for the 1,300 square meters of surface ( field + changing rooms) of the gymnasium of the Agricultural Institute (ex Tramello) of Piacenza and of 565 thousand euros for the 500 square meters of surface (field + changing rooms) of the gymnasium of the former Fire Brigade located inside the former barracks of the Fire Brigade of Viale Dante in Piacenza, used by high school students and (following an agreement with the Municipality of Piacenza) to sports clubs.
From the point of view of timing, the works thus financed must be awarded by 31 December 2023. For the provincial councilor with responsibility for Public Works and School Construction, Massimiliano Morganti: “The PNRR funding for the three candidate projects from the Province of Piacenza is a source of considerable satisfaction. On the one hand because it confirms the goodness of the work carried out, in constant synergy, by administration and offices, on the other hand because schools, students and citizens as a whole will be able to take concrete advantage of the results of the requalification and seismic adaptation that will be obtained through the interventions that will affect the gyms “.
From the publication of the rankings, the Ministry of Education shows that other requests have not been accepted at the moment. Gropparello had asked for 227,000 euros, Villanova 161,000, Alta Val Tidone 1,106,000, Morfasso 104,000, Castelvetro 135,000, Besenzone 40,000 and Ziano 110,000. New construction and expansion works had been requested by the municipalities of Gossolengo, Vigolzone, Alseno and Alta Val Tidone.
The good news is that, thanks to another 200 million euros, municipalities will be able to apply by 3.00 pm on 22 August 2022.
