Xiaomi hasn’t launched a tablet product for some time. Yesterday, when sharing a post on Redmi’s official Weibo, netizens discovered that an unknown Xiaomi device was used. Some Weibo users speculated that it was a brand new mobile phone, but Redmi’s product director Wang Tengzhuo explained that the device used to share posts was not a mobile phone.
Chinese media and netizens agree that what Wang Teng is referring to is actually the Mi Pad 5. In fact, the tablet appeared on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China earlier. The news stated that the Mi Pad 5 will have at least two versions. It is expected that Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will be equipped with an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600, screen update rate and touch sampling rate of 120Hz and 240Hz, respectively.
