Asst Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital to Host Free Health Initiatives for World Day Against HPV and International Women’s Day
In honor of World Day against HPV on March 4th and International Women’s Day on March 8th, the Asst Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital will be participating in an open day event promoted by the Lombardy Region. The event will take place on Saturday, March 9th, and will offer various free health initiatives at the hospital and in local offices.
One of the main initiatives of the day will be mammography screening for women aged between 45 and 74 who have not already participated in screening campaigns or had recent mammograms. The screenings will take place from 8:30 to 12:30 at the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital, and reservations are required through the Lombardy Region portal.
Additionally, HPV vaccinations will be available without reservation at vaccination centers in Borgo Palazzo, Villa d’Almè, and Zogno for girls aged 11 to 26 and boys aged 11 to 18. The screening for HPV will also be offered at family clinics in Borgo Palazzo and Villa d’Almè for girls aged 25 to 29 and women aged 30 to 64. These screenings are free and do not require reservations.
During the event, there will also be group information sessions led by obstetric staff from the ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital, providing valuable information about HPV infection, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
This initiative aims to raise awareness about HPV and provide crucial healthcare services to women in the community. The Asst Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital encourages all eligible individuals to participate in these free health initiatives on March 9th.
