Sicily, double earthquake in the middle of the night in Syracuse and off the coast of Catania

An earthquake of magnitude 3.3 was recorded at 00:14 off the south-eastern coast of Sicily.
According to data from the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Ingv), the earthquake had a hypocenter at a depth of 32 kilometers and an epicenter 78 km south of Syracuse. No damage to people or things was reported.

Two hours later – exactly at 2.06 am – another earthquake, of magnitude 2, was recorded off the coast of Catania at a depth of 8 km.
