Last week Valve released the Steam Deck handheld just for making friends, featuring AMD Zen 2 processor integrated with RNDA 2 GPU. Regrettably, even though G Fat has given very attractive pricing and has taken certain anti-scalper measures (for example, only old player accounts are eligible to snap up), Steam Deck is still in an embarrassing situation where it is hard to find a good product.
Even if there are portable devices with similar concepts on the market, such as AYA Neo (the processor has two more Zen2 cores), and One XPlayer using the Intel platform. But for those players who want to experience 3A games smoothly on the road and are anxious about the performance of the Nintendo Switch console, the hardware and ecological advantages of Steam Deck are quite attractive.
However, like the Sony PS5 and Microsoft XSX next-generation consoles released earlier, the difficulty of buying the Steam Deck handheld for the first time is also quite high. In an environment where supply and demand are severely imbalanced, people who have already booked successfully have listed a sky-high price of 4,324 euros (about 5,000 US dollars) on eBay.
As a reference to the 64GB basic version of the Steam Deck, the original price is only $399. Even the 512GB version is only $649.
