The strikes called by Usb, Cub, ADL Cobas, Usi 1912 and Usi Cit do not affect transport, however, as the Strike Guarantee Commission announced in a note. “With reference to the general strikes proclaimed for 8 March 2024 by Slai Cobas for the Classe, Usb, Cub, Adl Cobas, Usi 1912 and Usi Cit unions for the International Women’s Day, the Strike Guarantee Commission has reported to the trade union organizations Usb, Cub, Adl Cobas, Usi 1912 and Usi Cit of irregularities, concerning, in particular, the passenger transport sector (air, rail, maritime and local public), in application of resolution 22/22 of 8 February 2022, which prohibits concentration in general strikes”. The Commission then continued and underlined how “the aforementioned transport sectors will be affected exclusively by the strike proclaimed by the Slai Cobas union for the Class Union and not by the other trade unions”. Furthermore, the Commission invited the proclaiming unions to exclude, to a limited extent to the Abruzzo Region, affected by the electoral consultations of 10 March, the sectors: Local Self-Government Regions, Local Public Transport, Environmental Hygiene, Telecommunications, Electricity, Energy and Oil, Gas-Water, Funeral, Ministries, Maritime Transport, Fire Brigade, Helicopters and Fuels.
