The servers of the data processing center of the regional agency “Aria” were turned off due to the overheating of the air conditioning units
Slowdowns in the activity of pharmacies and general practitioners are occurring in Lombardy due to the temporary blocking of the health information platform of the Region, in progress since the afternoon of Saturday 14 August. No consequences, ensure from the Welfare Department, on the operation of hospitals and even anti-Covid vaccination centers (given that in Lombardy the booking portal is managed by the Post Office), while it is impossible for citizens to access the electronic health record.
The technical problems, still explained by the Department, started on the eve of August from the overheating – probably due to the great heat of the weekend – of the five air conditioners that are located inside the data processing center of Aria, the regional agency for purchases and innovation. The servers were then “turned off” by the same technicians working to restore the system, which should be operational again between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
