In 2020, the first year of the pandemic, there was a significant decline in the activities of psychiatric specialist services with approximately 100,000 fewer users assisted than the previous year (728,338 vs 826,465) with a decrease of over 2 million 600 thousand services provided.

This is what emerges from the analysis of the data of the Mental Health Report of the Ministry of Health Year 2020, just published, with the confirmation that people with psychiatric disorders, with the onset of Covid -19, have turned in significantly fewer numbers to public services (about 12% less).
