The ninth edition of the Insubria Cup of Taekwondo was a resounding success for the gym led by maestro Antonino Amato. The event, which took place at the E-Work Arena in Busto Arsizio, saw the participation of almost 1000 participants from all over Italy, as well as from France, Germany, and San Marino.
The level of competition was exceptionally high, especially in the Senior and Junior categories, with over 600 athletes vying for top honors. Despite the stiff competition, the gym’s talented students stood out, with ten of them shining brightly at the event.
The results of the Insubria Cup on 3-4 February 2024 are as follows: Santangelo Michele and Pulvirenti Cristiano secured first place, while Zerbo Rosario and Pappalardo Antonino took home second place. Laudani Riccardo and Recupero Placido clinched third place in their respective categories.
In addition, the quarterfinals saw Scalia Christian, Marco Lanza, Minissale Christian, and Castro Dennis competing with determination and skill. Maestro Amato was full of praise and encouragement for his students, stating, “I am proud of you for the mentality and commitment with which you faced the competition. Remember not to compare your path to that of others. Each of you is unique, and your personal evolution is precious. Always believe in yourself.”
