For the internet we don’t want to compromise. We need the best possible speed. After all, many of the activities that used to be physical or on traditional networks are now moving online. And it will be more and more like this: Covid has given the sprint to a trend that is here to stay, as underlined by various international studies and evidence: work will be hybrid, perhaps even teaching (of course, in universities); football on the internet will be a constant. Not to mention the video games that are now usually online (multiplayer).
So if we are in that growing slice of lucky people – about one in four Italians, according to the latest Agcom surveys – covered by complete optical fiber, we must have no doubts. We choose one of the best offers available, which by now have acceptable prices: even under 20 euros in promotion and under 30 as a standard rate.

And it is a really good time to study the offers because there are summer promotions. For example, now one of the cheapest offers by far is Fastweb Nexxt Casa, at € 19.95 per month for one year (for those who subscribe by July 15), then € 27.95 per month. The offer is good for those who do not call (or only receive) on a fixed line, because they have calls on consumption (15 cents per minute).

For the rest it is one of the few to give the maximum possible speed on the technological standard GPON (now used on fiber optic networks in homes): 2.5 Gigabits per second in download, 300 Mbps in upload. Fastweb – there are no other costs. Free activation and modem. No early cancellation costs (only the basic cancellation fee, which always applies to all offers from all operators and equal to or less than a monthly fee). Plus, unlimited calls to landlines and mobile phones included. It is the most suitable offer for those who need to call the old way.
Same speed for Vodafone Internet Casa, but fixed price of 25.90 euros per month; valid only for those who subscribe online by 12 July. Vodafone also does not charge for modems, activation, early termination. Tim is on a higher range now, € 29.90 per month, and stops at 1 Gigabit (100 Mbps in upload); unlimited calls for those who subscribe online. Free modem, while the activation is paid only if you cancel before 24 months (10 euros per month for a total of 240 euros).
Sky satellite subscribers should consider Sky WiFi Fibra 100%, at 24.90 euros per month for 18 months, then 29.90 euros per month; speed stopped at 1 Gigabit, activation 29 euros, free modem. It stops at 1 Gigabit and calls are metered (19 cents per answer, the rest free). Tiscali is among the cheapest, with 19.95 euros per month for the first year then 27.95. Like Fastweb, in short. But it stops at 1 Gigabit and has calls costing 5 cents per minute. Activation and modem for free. Same speed for Wind 3, at 24.99 euros per month fixed, which makes it one of the cheapest offers. Of the calls we pay only the connection fee (23 cents).
