GammaDonna has been rewarding the brightest minds in female entrepreneurship for two decades. It will do so again this year, on September 30th, from an exceptional stage, that of the Italian Tech Week. Here, awards will be given to the most innovative female entrepreneurs, including the new Assist Digital Award, for those who use digital to create positive impact.
Despite the 200 million more recently earmarked for the Women’s Business Fund to support female entrepreneurs, the number of businesses headed by women is still low: not even 1.4 million in Italy – 22.1% of the total -, for 96, 8% micro and only 0.3% medium-large enterprises. According to the latest data, however, the percentage of women active in the tech sector is growing. “Supporting, giving due weight to female entrepreneurship, also through public recognition, is a necessity for our economy that cannot afford to waste precious resources – she explains Valentina Parenti, President of GammaDonna – That indeed must learn to value them, to make them become an example to emulate. For this reason we have been working for two decades now to highlight the tenacity of women who often, in the shadows, do incredible things “.

And this year the six finalist innovation stories will be told on 30 September at the OGR-Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin, on the main stage of the Italian Tech Week, the largest Italian event on technology.

The Award is intended for entrepreneurs (founders, co-founders, or active members with managerial roles) who have distinguished themselves for having innovated with products / services, processes or organizational models within their company, with at least two financial statements behind them. The 50 entrepreneurs who pass the first selection will have a dedicated space on the GammaDonna platform and on its YouTube channel. They will also be invited to participate in the business matching event with the Award Partners to be held on the evening of the Final, in which the 6 finalists will be awarded, selected by a Jury of innovation experts, exponents of the business world and investors.
