This afternoon the Nas carabinieri will deliver the medical records and anamnestic form of the vaccination of Camilla Canepa, the 18-year-old who died after immunization with AstraZeneca, to the Genoa prosecutor’s office. While behind the death takes shape the hypothesis of a reaction to the drugs that the girl was taking.

Camilla Canepa: behind death a reaction to drugs?

The student from Sestri Levante died on Thursday after receiving the first dose of Vaxzevria on May 25th during a Open day organized by the Liguria Region. According to the first findings of the investigations, the death occurred due to complications due to a cavernous sinus thrombosis. Tomorrow, June 15, the autopsy will be entrusted to the coroner Luca Tajana and the haematologist Franco Piovella. In the meantime, however, the investigation coordinated by the prosecutors Stefano Puppo and Francesca Rombolà of the health protection pool led by the deputy prosecutor Francesco Pinto works on the family autoimmune thrombocytopenia that Camilla allegedly suffered. And that had forced her to go to the Lavagna hospital on two occasions, which had included her medical records in the report provided to the San Martino in Genoa. But the parents denied, through a press release from their lawyer Angelo Paone, that the girl suffered from hereditary diseases.

Because Camilla didn’t have to be vaccinated with AstraZeneca

What is certain is that Camilla, if she suffered from an autoimmune disease, should not have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca. It should have been included among the frail subjects to whom Pfizer or Moderna should be administered since chronic primary autoimmune platelet diseases are included in the Ministry of Health‘s disease table. And he should have chosen the right serum after a consultation with the GP, who in turn should have reported his needs to the vaccination centers. According to initial investigations, Camilla took two drugs on May 29, four days after vaccination with AstraZeneca. These are two hormones, Progynova and Dufaston, used for 40 years as a therapy for women who do not produce them or because they are in menopause or because of amenorrhea (ie without a cycle) in childbearing age. The hematologist appointed by the prosecutor will have to shed light on whether and how they interacted with the vaccine.
