Some time ago, we reported how “Pokémon Crystal Diamond/Bright Pearl” dominated the UK boxed retail game sales rankings, becoming the second-most-issued game this year. And now, its hometown-Japan’s local sales data have also been made public. Unsurprisingly, the battle looked equally fierce.
According to Famitsu’s report, in just three days, about 1,395,642 copies of these two remastered games were sold. This makes it the second largest Switch product in the region, second only to “Collection!” Animal Crossing Friends, the latter sold 1,880,626 copies in three days.
It also surpassed the previous Pokémon flagship game “Sword/Shield”, which sold 1,364,544 copies. Surprisingly, the sales of the remake and the original “Pokémon Diamond/Pearl” are very similar, which sold 1.586 million copies in four days.
