SAMUEL is 10 years old and has a new bedroom. The uncles prepared it. He had another one before. The one with mom and dad’s room next to it. But the parents are gone. With another 27 people died in the avalanche that devastated Rigopiano, a village in Abruzzo under the Gran Sasso on 18 January 2017. Samuel survived, saved after 50 hours spent with three friends in the pool room, miraculously left standing.
