On the occasion of the meeting of the Conference of Mayors of the Ulss 2 Marca Trevigiana Company, held on Friday 1 October, an update was shared with the municipal administrations in relation to medical assistance in the area, compared to the previous meetings held on 16 July and August 31 last.
In particular, as regards the shortage of general practitioners, an overview of the current situation was provided.
To address the problem of the now chronic shortage of doctors, which is of a national nature and not easily overcome in the short term – the health company says – the project proposal was illustrated, shared with the trade unions of general medicine, which in summary, it provides for an increase in the ceiling for doctors to 1,800 patients, on a voluntary basis, against the implementation of membership forms and the endowment of the study staff of all participating doctors.
The proposal was sent to the Region, as the definitive increase in the ceiling to 1,800 patients requires approval by the same.
If the proposal is authorized, the Ulss 2 company will initiate a discussion with general medicine on all the contents of the project.
