The sight of Earth that made “Captain Kirk” cry

At 90, William Shatner, who has long played the role of Captain Kirk from Star Trek on set, has become the oldest person to fly to the edge of outer space. The actor made a suborbital flight aboard a Blue Origin spacecraft, experiencing a condition of microgravity for a few minutes. The sight of the Earth deeply moved Shatner, who once landed did not hold back tears in front of Jeff Bezos, the finder of Blue Origin. “It was so exciting – said Shatner covering his eyes – this experience was something incredible”.
