Ella Pick, a 19-year-old from Boston, Lincolnshire, received a devastating diagnosis last July. After a trip to Greece with friends, she began to suffer from disturbing symptoms which led to the discovery of a incurable brain tumor.

During her four-week holiday in Zakynthos, a popular Greek island, Ella began to feel unusually tired and exhausted, symptoms which she initially attributed to excessive drinking. However, once she returned to England, the situation quickly worsened. “A week after I got back, the migraines became unbearable and the pressure in the back of my head was terrible,” Ella shared with the British tabloid The Sun.

The deterioration of his condition became evident when his left eye it started to move abnormally towards the center of the face. Concerned, Ella consulted an ophthalmologist who immediately referred her to hospital for further tests. After a series of tests, including a TAC it’s a magnetic resonance imagingdoctors identified the cause of his symptoms: a diffuse midline glioma in the brainstem, a form of cancer incurable and inoperable.

This terrible discovery drastically changed the lives of Ella and her family. Doctors estimated that the young woman had about a year to live. This news deeply shocked not only Ella and her loved ones, but also the local community and all those who followed her story.
