I am 19.215 the positive Covid tests identified in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 21,042. I am instead 66 the victims in one day, yesterday were 96. There are 501,815 molecular and antigenic swabs for the coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours in Italy, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 565,077. The positivity rate is 3.8% (yesterday it was 3.7%). On the other hand, there are 829 patients in intensive care in Italy, 11 more than yesterday in the balance between income and expenses. Daily admissions are 54. Patients with symptoms in ordinary wards are 6,697, 158 more than yesterday.

478,058 doses of the anti-Covid vaccine were administered yesterday; a figure far higher than the minimum target of 350 thousand set for that day by the structure of Commissioner Francesco Figliuolo. On Saturday there is usually a drop in the administration, which was also recorded yesterday, but to a lesser extent than in the past: on Friday there were 554,956. The estimates of vaccinations for the first 12 days of December provided by the Commissioner for the Regions (a minimum of 4.6 million total administrations) have already been greatly exceeded given that, when today’s data is still missing, it is already at quota 5,129,537, for an average of 466,322 per day.

We will now see if there will also be an overcoming of the targets anticipated by General Figliuolo’s structure for the next few days: 500 thousand daily doses from 13 and 17 December, 350 thousand daily on 18 and 19 December, again 500 thousand from 20 to 24, 300 thousand on 25 and 26, for a total of 6 million and 300 thousand inoculations from 13 to 26 December.

A further boost to the vaccination campaign will take place from next Thursday when it will be open to the 5-11 age group, while on Wednesday the extension of the obligation to school personnel, military, police forces and public aid will be triggered.
