“He who moves, loves himself!” is the title of the campaign promoted by Wellness Foundation together with the Emilia-Romagna Region as part of the Regional Prevention Plan 2021-2025. Launched in Romagna in 2023 thanks to the collaboration with the Medical Associations and Pharmacists Associations of Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena and Rimini, Agifar and with the support of the Romagna Local Health Authority, the initiative is aimed at population in the 40-60 year age group e aims to extend across the entire regional territory in 2024.

The objective is to promote the practice ofphysical activity as a tool for improving the quality of life and preventing chronic non-communicable diseases.

In fact, regular physical activity offers numerous health benefits, helps prevent chronic diseases such as hypertension, cancer, type 2 diabetes and osteoporosis and promotes an autonomous and healthy lifestyle in the long term. Practicing physical activity also has a positive impact on mental well-being, helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

Five good daily habits
• Dedicate 30 minutes a day to physical activity
• Get around on foot or by bike whenever you can
• Use the stairs instead of the elevator
• Take a walk after lunch or dinner
• Avoid sitting for hours without getting up

The campaign has started in 2023 from Romagna involving general practitioners, pharmacies, health gyms, walking groups: a network to offer people information, advice and opportunities to stay healthy. The intent for the 2024 is to extend to a regional scale the approach and materials of the initiative (at least one social-health district for each local health authority), also involving the competent doctors to propose the contents also in the workplace.
