“Crossfit Udine Celebrates 10 Years of Fitness and Community”

Udine has been home to a thriving Crossfit community for the past ten years, with Crossfit Udine leading the way in bringing this popular fitness discipline to the city. Founded by Emil Vianello, a dedicated athlete with a passion for muay thai, Crossfit Udine has become a hub for fitness enthusiasts in the area.

The tenth anniversary of Crossfit Udine, located on via Sondrio, was celebrated on February 16th. Vianello, reflecting on the past decade, expressed his enthusiasm for the growth and success of the gym. “It’s a place that was born from a vision to turn an empty warehouse into a place of aggregation and sport. I came to CrossFit by chance, looking for athletic training for the Thai boxing I practiced… it was love at first sight,” said Vianello.

The gym, initially an empty and bare warehouse, has transformed into a 600-square-meter space dedicated to Crossfit training. Despite limited resources, Vianello’s determination and passion have been the driving force behind the gym’s success. “With little money but a lot of willpower, the dream began: year after year we have grown while always remaining faithful to those values with which we were born: being a place of sport and aggregation, where every day we put ourselves to the test together,” Vianello shared.

Crossfit Udine has not only been instrumental in promoting the fitness discipline but has also inspired the opening of other Crossfit gyms in the area. Vianello expressed pride in the impact of Crossfit Udine on the community, stating, “Then other places were born, opened by people who took the courses in Via Sondrio. This fills us with pride, because it means that we have sown well.”

One notable member of the Crossfit community is 83-year-old Renzo Caposassi, who remains dedicated to his fitness routine and continues to inspire others with his commitment. Vianello shared, “For us, he is a real example. Mr. Renzo, in fact, is 83 years old and does not miss training from Monday to Friday. He always comes at 5.30pm and trains with weights, lifting an impressive 105 kilos.”

Crossfit Udine has attracted a diverse group of individuals of all ages and fitness levels, creating a supportive and inclusive community centered around the love for fitness and personal growth. The gym’s tenth anniversary was celebrated with a special training session followed by a joyful gathering, highlighting the sense of camaraderie and achievement that Crossfit Udine has fostered over the years.

As Crossfit continues to gain popularity in Udine, Crossfit Udine remains a testament to the power of dedication, passion, and community in the pursuit of fitness and overall well-being.
