Microsoft released this month’s security update earlier, which fixed a total of 128 security vulnerabilities, of which 10 were marked as “critical” by Microsoft and 115 were marked as “important”. There are also two zero-day vulnerabilities in this update, codenamed “CVE-2022-26904” and “CVE-2022-24521”.
Of the 10 vulnerabilities marked as “critical” this time, 3 of them have a CVSS risk score of 9.8 (out of 10). One of them allows malicious actors to attack an enterprise’s Windows server from a distance. The other two are Windows-related, allowing hackers to remotely penetrate a user’s Windows computer without requiring the user to click any options.
As for the two zero-day vulnerabilities, although they were not rated as “critical”, they were only marked as “important”, but Microsoft pointed out that hackers have tried to use these vulnerabilities to allow Windows to expand permissions.
