Video games, ads and disappointments. Everything you need to know about E3 2021

by admin

Those who expected so many titles, a muscle operation from Microsoft and some clearer indication on the next-gen of consoles will certainly have been satisfied. What ended last week is perhaps the video game fair with the most brand new video game announcements. Disappointment instead for those who expected to see the new Nintendo Switch Pro at work. But the impression is that of an industry that is recovering after the freeze in production due to Covid-19. So here’s the best of this E3.

Our Mario + Rabbids is back.

Ubisoft hasn’t announced a new Assassin’s Creed, hasn’t revealed such as Beyond Good and Evil 2 or and Skull and Bones. New cutscenes for Rainbow Six: Extraction, Far Cry 6 and Riders Republic. But for us Italians the news is the announcement of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, the sequel to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, coming in 2022 on Nintendo Switch made by the Ubisoft Milan team.

The sense of the Game Pass.

Microsoft’s conference was tasked with demonstrating how the $ 7.5 billion acquisition of the Zenimax group had not been spent in vain. And in fact, the firepower of their gaming platform is impressive: 30 titles, 27 of which are coming to Xbox Game Pass, including Starfield and Halo Infinite. But what has fooled us the most from a visual point of view is Forza Horizon 5, coming on November 5th.

Square Enix finally.

The news: Hitman Sniper: The Shadows for smartphones but also the spin-off Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin developed by Team Ninja. The most difficult challenge, however, is the game about the Guardians of the Galassi developed by Eidos-Montréal in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, which will be released on October 26 on all platforms.

Finally the new Zelda.

There was no announcement of the Nintendo Switch Pro but there was no shortage of games. The new Metroid (October 8), Warioware Get it Togheter (October 8), Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Life is Strange and many others. Above all, the long-awaited sequel to The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, perhaps one of the most beautiful games in the history of video games. It will arrive in 2022.
