Windows 11 22H2 will force the use of a Microsoft account, this trick can no longer be used without Internet access – Qooah

According to Windows Latest reports: Microsoft is trying to cut off the local accounts used by users to configure options for Windows 11 devices. According to reliable sources, users can’t escape this fate even if they want to install the “Pro” version. Microsoft has now eliminated the option to use a local account for so-called “Home Edition” users of Windows 11, which means everyone is forced to use a Microsoft account to configure their devices.

And with the implementation of the new policy, this restriction will no longer be limited to “Home Edition” operating system users. It is reported that Microsoft has decided that starting with Windows 11 22H2, users of the “Pro” operating system must also link their Microsoft accounts during the system installation and setup process. It is worth mentioning that Windows 11 22H2 Integrated Home Edition, Home Chinese Edition, Education Edition, Professional Edition, Professional Education Edition, Professional Workstation Edition, Education Edition and Enterprise Edition may all be included in the future.

It’s just that Microsoft’s customers in the Windows 11 “Enterprise Edition”, a Redmond software giant, obviously dare not offend for the time being, which means that these users can still configure the way they want.

And when users connect, their Microsoft accounts are automatically associated, the temporary system will automatically configure OneDrive for the device by default, and start syncing data between your devices. This includes automatic settings and preferences across different devices, which Microsoft explains to help you easily manage multiple PCs.

But even so, not everyone wants to associate a Microsoft account with Windows 11, because it means allowing Microsoft to access their data, and users are worried about their data being leaked.

Users found that in the Build 22616 compiled version, their professional version of the operating system has been forced to set up a Microsoft account during the installation process, and requires available Internet access.

It’s just that there’s no way to avoid this situation, as it only occurs when the device is configured for personal use, but if you choose the work or school account option, you’ll be prompted to use your organization’s account instead Regional configuration, so that mandatory settings can be avoided.

Interestingly, if the user needs to bypass this mandatory requirement, there are still workarounds – although the process will cause an error, you can still click “next” and create a local account (annoying, but Helplessness is also the easiest way).

As for Windows 10 users, it is very simple, as long as the device is not connected to the Internet during the installation process, you can still set up a local account. In contrast, if you want to bypass the mandatory Internet access requirements of Windows 11, the actual operation process is still too complicated (the operating system files need to be edited), so users are advised not to operate.
