Conferences, dissemination activities, conferences, info points, visits and consultancy, for a week entirely dedicated to prevention and treatment for women. This is in fact the guiding spirit that animates the(H) Open Weekthe initiative organized by Onda ETS Foundation, from 18 to 24 April, which offers free visits and consultations at participating hospitals throughout the peninsula, on the occasion of National Women’s Health Day on 22 April. Many of the structures involved are part of the network Hospitals of Excellence.

The services offered
There are many services offered: ranging from breast visits to dermatology visits, the possibility of carrying out ultrasound scans, mammograms, contraception counseling, dietary consultations, rheumatology visits, interviews with diabetologists and psychologists, with reproductive medicine experts . Consultations with cardiologists and urologists are also available, with the possibility of electrocardiograms and on-site visits.

The areas covered by the activities – many, in addition to visits, are educational and informative, which can also be followed remotely – are those of cardiology, colonproctology, dermatology, diabetology, dietetics and nutrition, endocrinology and metabolic diseases, gynecology and obstetrics, reproductive medicine, neurology, gynecological oncology, medical oncology, pulmonology, psychiatry, rheumatology, breastology, urology. There will also be space for services and paths dedicated to violence against women. Some of the activities proposed are by reservation only, with different methods and timing, and the list of all the appointments and services offered by the 260 pink label hospitals participating in the (H) Open Week is available on initiative website.

The initiatives of the Hospitals of Excellence
Among the activities proposed by the Hospitals of Excellence, we highlight, for example, that of the Careggi University Hospital which is organizing screening tests for obliterating arteriopathy (a condition closely related to atherosclerosis) on 22 April. The Monzino Cardiology Center, however, offers free telephone consultations on general and interventional cardiology on 18 and 22 April. On the 21st the ASST Spedali Civili of Brescia offers the possibility of cardiological visits with ECG.

The University Hospital of Parma is organizing interviews with a urologist specialized in uro-gynecology and functional urology on 18 April, while on the 22nd in Terni the S.
