ASTI Free visits in the next few days to the Cardinal Massaia hospital in Asti, in view of National Women’s Health Day, which occurs on April 22nd.

On this occasion, the Onda Ets foundation organizes the ninth edition of (H)open week with the aim of promoting information, prevention and treatment for women and the Asti hospital is among the over 260 structures in the Pink Sticker network that have joined the initiative, offering free clinical, diagnostic and information services in various areas specialists.

In particular, tomorrow, Thursday 18 April from 8.30 to 11.30, the gynecology and obstetrics department will visit six patients for gynecological and menopause consultancy (waiting room number 1 on the third floor of the Massaia; reservations are required on the telephone number 0141-48.95.00 from 1pm to 15).

Furthermore, from 9.30 to 13.00, the reproductive medicine clinic will visit ten patients with pelvic ultrasound for follicular count and information on fertility (in this case, reservations are required on the telephone number 0141-48.95.25, operational on Tuesdays and Thursday from 8.30am to 1pm and Friday from 11.30am to 1pm).

Always tomorrow, Thursday 18 and Tuesday 23 April, on the -1 floor of the Massaia, from 10 to 12, an info point will be active with the distribution of material. On the same level, Friday 19 April, the complex structure of metabolic diseases and diabetology will activate a gazebo: the objective is to offer diabetes screening, in a preventive manner, with related multidisciplinary consultancy. The initiative is aimed at women between 50 and 65 years old, without known diabetes, and is also open to ASL AT staff. The activity will be offered from 8 to 12 and will include: the measurement of both the biometric parameters for the calculation of the body mass index and capillary glycemia and the completion of the questionnaire Diabetes risk score which, through eight key questions, allows us to calculate the risk of a non-diabetic person developing type 2 diabetes within the next ten years. The diabetologist, dietician and psychologist present at the gazebo will offer advice on correct nutrition and the adoption of healthy lifestyles (no booking is required).
