Despite massive selling by individual investors, the KOSPI index is maintaining an upward trend amid net purchases by foreigners and institutions.

As of 1:43 p.m. on the 7th, the KOSPI index is trading at 2597.88, up 21.68 points (0.84%) from the previous trading day.

Individuals alone are net selling 890.2 billion won, while foreigners and institutions are net buying 311.1 billion won and 605.9 billion won, respectively.

Looking at each industry, transportation equipment (2.50%), insurance (2.40%), and steel and metal (2.27%) are on the rise. Pharmaceuticals (-1.14%) and medical precision (-0.47%) are in decline.

Among the top KOSPI stocks by market capitalization, Hyundai Motors (3.82%), Samsung C&T (3.53%), POSCO Holdings (2.86%), and Kia (2.78%) are strong. Samsung BioLogics (-2.13%) and Celltrion (-1.91%) are weak.

The KOSDAQ index is trading at 809.51, up 2.48 points (0.31%) from the previous trading day.

Individuals are net buying 109.8 billion won, while foreigners and institutions are net selling 42.1 billion won and 62.8 billion won, respectively.

Among the top KOSDAQ market capitalization stocks, Ecopro (13.16%), Shinsung Delta Tech (10.44%), and Ecopro BM (7.64%) are strong. Enchem (-7.30%), Celltrion Pharmaceutical (-2.34%), and Reno Industrial (-2.18%) are weak.
