A 55-year-old alerted the police around 3:20 a.m.: A car had crashed into her garden and there was no sign of a driver. When the officers arrived, he – a 43-year-old from the Wels-Land district – had already returned to the scene of the accident. He immediately admitted to driving the car.

An alcohol test showed a value of 0.96 per mille. The man has now lost his driver’s license. His car was so damaged that it had to be towed away.
