The 16-year-old German tourist, found dead yesterday in a forest above San Candido, in Alto Adige, probably died of exposure. This is what the autopsy established, which was carried out this morning at the Bolzano hospital, and which ruled out the presence of trauma.
At dawn the girl had left the farm, where she was staying with her parents for a holiday period, to go for a walk. The alarm was raised in the morning when the young woman did not return. The body of the 16-year-old was finally found, not far from the farm, under a path at the foot of a not particularly steep slope.
