“There are fewer and fewer games. It’s all the better that we’re back at it now,” said Schommers. He doesn’t think that the pressure could be too great for his team in the final spurt of the season: “We have proven many times that we can handle pressure situations.”
The primary aim is not to look for Easter eggs, but rather to play a successful game in the 3rd league. MSV coach Boris Schommers before the guest appearance in Bielefeld
On Easter Sunday, Arminia (7.30 p.m.) will not be about looking for Easter eggs, but about playing a successful game: “Then let’s hope that we can find something for ourselves in Bielefeld.”
More than 20,000 spectators expected
However, the Arminen should be able to hide points well, especially since they will be on a high note after winning the state cup semi-final against Preußen Münster. In the Association Cup, a win against SC Verl on May 25th separates them from participation in the DFB Cup. Arminia’s head coach Mitch Kniat believes in the home advantage in front of more than 20,000 spectators: “We are responsible for how well an opponent gets into a game or whether we manage to push the opponent back in. It’s up to us on Sunday.”
Similar to Schommers, Kniat also attests that his players have proven themselves under pressure. In such situations they delivered, which was an advantage – so: “We have a home game, we want to win it.”
