A 5-star hotel in the cable car park in Cortina: Falkensteiner lands at the foot of the Tofane

It will be built in the Freccia nel cielo car park, ready at the end of 2024. The redevelopment of the Capanna Tondi refuge is also underway

CORTINA. The Austrian group Falkensteiner will build a five-star hotel in Cortina on the land that currently houses the Tofana – Freccia nel Cielo car park, behind the ice rink. An embryonic project but already outlined: it will be an extra-luxury hotel structure, in line with those that made the well-known chain set up by the South Tyrolean Falkensteiner family famous. Which is based in Vienna and operates throughout Europe, including Italy, in resort and residence formula not only in the mountains, with thirty accommodation facilities that altogether employ about two thousand people.
