“All green, the blue sky – My house is a cloud – The landscape from up here is like a fairy tale”says “A beautiful place” the collective song written, interpreted and recorded by the pre-adolescents of Val Degano in the song writing workshop led by Marco Anzovino.

The video clip of “A beautiful place”, recorded at the end of June in the village of Maranzanis with the support of a team of video makers and a choreographer, is making the rounds of the web providing an insight into the journey in which Marco Anzovino, educator, songwriter, writer and music therapist, he involved the children by inviting them to give voice to emotions through a universal language such as music.

The initial emotion of the boys to find themselves in front of a white sheet on which to impress their emotions and the difficulty of imagining how so different thoughts and voices could blend were swept away by the pride of finding themselves in front of a microphone to tell about themselves in one piece whose beauty derives from the fact that everyone has given a part of themselves that makes up a heterogeneous but harmonious picture marked by love for their land.

Generations pass but for teenagers the songs represent a point of reference because they speak with them and about them; the peculiarity of the workshop was to offer the children the opportunity to become protagonists, to be listened to and above all to be able to express the deepest emotions in the context of a shared project resulting from the pleasure of feeling part and being in a group.

The Zoncolan, the quiet and the details of a still authentic nature, such as the relationships that develop in it, characterize the valley in the eyes of the children and are just some of the aspects mentioned in “A beautiful place”, capable of transmitting the soul and , why not, to promote the peculiarities of Val Degano through the eyes of the youngest.

The workshop was the opening of the summer course “Stay 2.0”, coordinated by the Social Service of the Municipalities of the Carnia – Friuli Centrale University Healthcare Company, which, during the months of July and August, with the conduct of the educators of the Cooperativa Itaca, will involve children aged 11 to 14 from the municipalities of Val Degano.

“Stay 2.0”, born last summer from an idea of the Val Degano municipal administrations, is the continuation of a path that aims to offer pre-adolescents an innovative training opportunity characterized by being together and knowing; knowledge of their classmates, with whom they usually have no way of relating because they attend different schools, and of the peculiarities of the area in which they live.

The positive feedback from families and children encouraged the extension of the project with a series of meetings that unfolded during the school year, also thanks to the constant dialogue with the Comeglians IC that has supported the project over time. . In addition, the rich and multifaceted proposal has also been extended to the other Carnic valleys, where the Social Service carries out an articulated planning approach during the year in synergy with the various local authorities.
